In memory of
Kari (Steve) Mueller
August 16, 2025
Dear Nancy, Kori, Nikki and Families, Daryl & Debbie, Jeff and Family,
Thinking of all of you as you celebrate your husband, father, grandfather and brother, Al today. What a beautiful legacy he has left behind that lives on in all of you. Your family has blessed our family in so many ways over the years by generously hosting pool parties, Chinese New Year at Tam's Rice Bowl in Fridley and later at Shuang Cheng in Dinkytown.
Nancy, you and Al are and have been, an example of supporting those around you, your inspiring work ethic and mentoring those of us coming up right behind you in this crazy, fulfilling, challenging, sorrowful and beautiful life.
I will be with you in spirit as you celebrate Al's life today.
With Love and Sympathy,
Kari (Steve) Mueller Family

In loving memory of a wonderful person. So many great memories, especially boundary water trips. I think (or my mind thinks) I beat him in one racquetball game. He was a great competitor, a great friend, and a great human icon.

Nancy, I am sending you and your family my deepest sympathies. Although I did not know your husband, seeing him through your eyes was for me, an introduction to a wonderful human being. You are in my thoughts and prayers.

We will remember Al as kind, passionate, and generous - just like the family that surrounded him. We are thinking of all of you, and sending our love.

Nancy, Kori, and Nicole, my heart is sad with you when I learned of Al's passing. I have only strong positive memories of our days together with music to join us.

Al and Nancy were mentors to our family in every sense of the word. Al gave my husband his first job after nobody else appreciated his quiet talents. He continued to mentor Scott, Steve and Bret throughout their careers. Both Nancy and Al showed us how to be involved parents while both having fulfilling careers. Wishing your family peace knowing Al lived a full life and was so appreciated by others.

Al often included our family for lovely meals in his home. Chinese New Year was an annual treat we looked forward to also at Tam's Rice Bowl, then, after it closed, Shuang Cheng in Dinky Town. 20 to 35 people would join the Yee Lits and share 15 to 20 course Chinese dinners. Sometimes a dragon wandered through, with a special gold coin or gift left with each guest. Al had a brilliant mind and so many friends that loved him. He was a prince of a fellow.

Al was a DDT fraternal brother at Florida Institute of Technology. These pictures are ones he shared with us. Al always had a good story to share and was an excellent listener.
