Alfreda Mae Rist

Alfreda Mae Weyant Rist, 86, of Ironton, passed away Monday, October 15, 2012 at Our Lady of Bellefonte Hospital in Russell, Kentucky. The Ironton, Ohio native was born October 1, 1926, the daughter of the late David and Mae Roseberry Weyant. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Elmo E. Rist, Jr., who passed away December 2, 2000. Alfreda was a 1944 graduate of Ironton High School, a former manager for Time Warner Cable and was a member of Sharon Baptist Church. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by: twin infant sons: Ronald and Donald Rist a son: Bob Rist a sister: Mary Palmer She is survived by: her daughter: Judy Davis of Ironton 2 grandchildren: Adam Beard and Rebecca Rist of Point Pleasant, WV 3 great grandchildren 2 nephews: Jim Palmer of St. Albans, WV and Carl Palmer of Ironton Funeral services will be 1:00P.M. Wednesday, October 17, 2012, at Phillips Funeral Home, 1004 South Seventh Street, Ironton, Ohio with Rev. Steve Harvey and Rev. Aaron Fields officiating. Burial will follow in Woodland Cemetery and visitation will be Wednesday from 11:00A.M.until the time of the service at the funeral home.
