Ali Blitz King

Alice "Ali" (Blitz) King, 76, of New York, passed away Monday, March 6, 2023 in Rancho Mirage, CA. She was born October 15, 1946 in New York, daughter of the late Joseph P. Blitz of J. P. Blitz Inc., and the late Barbara Blitz.

Ali was raised on Manhattan's Upper East Side. She attended the Dalton School and later graduated Mills College. Ali, who adored children, began her career as a nursery school teacher at the Madison Playgroup in Manhattan. She continued her work while raising her own two children, Amie and Josh.

An "angel on Earth" as described by her family and friends, Ali was a compassionate, loving spirit. Beautiful both inside and out, Ali understood how to truly listen, a unique gift that endeared her to many. She was a fiercely loyal and steadfast friend whose warmth and selfless acts of love and kindness had a profound effect on all who were fortunate enough to know her.

Ali was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Barbara Blitz, her youngest sister, Patti Blitz-Deihl and her brother, Steven Blitz.

Ali is survived by her husband, Robert King; son, Josh (Alexa) King; daughter, Amie (Brian) Karscig; sister, Vikki (Brian) McMillan; grandchildren, Conalie King, Julian Graham, Hudson King, JoJo Karscig and Simon King, and nieces, Kay Deihl and Ashlee Fitch.
