Alice Bondi Obituary
Alice was preceded in death by her parents, Lawrence and Mary Wenzel; and sister, Mary Ann Peonessa. Alice married Ron Bondi on June 19, 1954, in Chicago, IL. Alice is survived by her sons, Father Stephen Bondi, Wilmington, IL, James Bondi (Judith Vargas), Aurora, IL, David Bondi, Leesburg, FL and Richard Bondi (Beth), Charlotte, NC; her sister, Virginia Hill, River Forest, IL; and three cherished grandchildren, Joseph, Elizabeth, and Anthony Bondi, Charlotte, NC; and several nieces and nephews.
Alice worked for many years as a registered nurse and loved to travel with Ron after their retirement. She maintained a life-long love of art and passed on many beautiful paintings that her family will cherish. Alice instilled in her children and grandchildren a love of all beautiful things and a strong value of education, life long learning, and a love of God.
Services will be held at St. Rose Church, 603 S. Main St., Wilmington, IL 60481 on Monday, May 19. Visitation 9:00 AM-11:00 AM and Service at 11:00 AM.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Rose Church or the American Cancer Society.
