Alice Lourdes Teixeira Carvalho

Carvalho, Alice Lourdes Teixeira Homemaker, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, passed away August 10, 2017, at the age of 86. She was preceded in death by her husband of 43 years, Antonio. She is survived by her sons, Roger and Mark "Carv" (Teresa) Carvalho, both of Wichita; grandchildren, Kelly (Kim) Carvalho (Pinner, UK), Nick Carvalho (Berthoud, CO), Chelsea (Chase) Manuel (Wichita), Rachel Carvalho (Wichita), Emily Carvalho (Redondo Beach, CA), Mia Carvalho (Wichita), Leslie Carvalho (Wichita); and great-grandsons, Christian and Cruz Carvalho (Pinner, UK). There will be a Rosary at 7 p.m. Sunday, August 13; Funeral Mass 10 a.m. Monday, August 14, both at Christ the King Catholic Church. Interment will be at Resthaven Mortuary immediately following the service. She was born in Newark, NJ, on November 20, 1930. After high school, she met Antonio, whom she married June of 1949. She helped raise their two children in New Jersey and Arkansas City, KS. Upon reaching retirement they moved to Wichita, where she enjoyed being with her beloved grandchildren.
