Alice Irene Croy

WINTER HAVEN, Fla. — Alice Irene Croy, age 81, went to be with the Lord on February 12, 2010 due to failure to thrive. Mrs. Croy was born on July 13, 1928 in Dott, W.Va. Alice was a resident of Polk County since 1982, formerly of Princeton, W.Va. She was affectionately called "Mommaw" by her grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, Robert D. Croy (12/23/2008); her parents, C.L. and Thelma Rose of Princeton, W.Va.; sisters, Ila Stewart and Beatrice Goad.Survivors left to cherish her memory include daughters, Elaine Connor (Crawford) and Sherry Croy, both of Winter Haven, Fla.; son, John Croy (Sandra) of Lakeland, Fla.; grandchildren, Jeffrey Connor, Stephanie Trayers, Alyson Croy and Zachary Croy; great-grandchildren, Jenna, Sean, Victoria, Alexis, Megan, Jonathan and Anna Marie; and sister, Billie Jean Schaffer of Kernersville, N.C.A celebration of life will be held on Tuesday, February 16, 2010 at 3:00 p.m. at Winter Haven Worship Center, Winter Haven, Fla. with Pastors Jeffrey Connor and Eddie Trayers officiating.
