Alice R. Gandrud

My mother, Virgene Delphie Swenson Thompson, was born in Sunburg on December 2, 1922. I recall her talking about the Gandruds on many occasions. Her parents were Henry and Johanna Peterson Swenson, also Norwegians, and they lived in town. Mom's oldest sister, Eldred, was the only sibling to remain in Sunburg until she died. She was married to Emil Hellerud. When Mom thinks of good people, she always thinks of Sunburg. I'm sure Alice was one of those "good people."



Our family business, Weavewood, Inc. has been located in Golden Valley since 1956 and I shopped often in the Golden Valley Shopping Center.



Alice sounds like she was a real live wire and I know you'll miss her.
