My father was one of the Wake Island survivors along with Pete. What a close-knit group those guys and their spouses were! As a kid and on into my adult life, I remember many of their gatherings which I attended. Often, those gatherings were full-blown conventions, requiring people to organize and do the administration pieces. And Alice and Pete were in the very core of the "doers" who kept things running. After Pete passed, she continued to play a very active role, and I always admired how she managed to be involved in so much! I think the survivors' group will continue to meet in the hereafter, and Alice will be there to ensure that things run smoothly...

Mrs. Ingham raised four beautiful children. Her dedication and loyalty to the Wake Island POWs and their organization was amazing and will be her legacy as well as her amazing family.

It was my great pleasure to get to know Alice while at the bedside of her son-in-law John Bradstreet. Truly a lady full of compassion and love, a class act all the way.
