Alice Moriarty Obituary

Of Marblehead, formally of Andover, died peacefully at the Lafayette Convalescent Home in Marblehead on October 17. Beloved wife of the late Daniel Moriarty. Loving mother of Mary Sprong of Marblehead, Brenda Welber of Plano, Texas and Elizabeth Buckheit of Derry, New Hampshire. She is also survived by three grandchildren, Jeff Welber, Kelsey Welber and Alicia King, and one great grandchild, William King. Funeral services will be private. In lieu of flowers, contributions in the memory of Alice Moriarty may be made to the American Cancer Society, 30 Speen Street, Framingham, MA 01701. Arrangements by the Eustis-Cornell Funeral Home, MARBLEHEAD.

Alice was truly a wonderful woman -a wonderful mother and wife. In these days perhaps, she may be judged as "old fashioned" but I hope to be like her. A devoted wife and mother, what more is there to strive for other than to be a kind and generous and compassionate person which Alice was. Non-judgmental to me and my family -something very important to me - who could ask for more. I appreciated all about her. Even though I have not seen her in a few years I miss her already, knowing that she is gone in body but not in spirit. Alice Moriarty - Mrs. Moriarty to me - will always be a special person to me as are her wonderful girls. I'm grateful that Dan now has his Alice to take care of.
