Alice Peek Obituary
Mrs. Peek was born Aug. 8, 1923, in Cameron, Mo., and had lived most of her life in St. Joseph.
She was a homemaker, and enjoyed flower gardening, cats, cooking and spending time with her family. She was a Baptist.
Alice was preceded in death by her mother, Susan Turner; father and stepmother, William and Claire Turner; husband, William Peek; brother, Earl; and sister, Louise.
She is survived by her daughter, Billie Hatheway, and husband, Elmer Sr. of St. Joseph; eight grandchildren, Rick Hatheway, Belenda Petitt, Lena Fetters, Elmer Hatheway Jr., Ronnie Hatheway, Billy Hatheway, Debra Neil and Everett Hatheway; 24 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; sisters Beatrice, Bonnie, Wanda, Judy, Lucille, Caryan Sue, Betty, Rita and Pamala; and a brother, James.
The funeral service will be conducted at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Rupp Funeral Home, St. Joseph. Interment will be at Bethel Cemetery, Cosby, Mo. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.

I always loved going to grandma Alice house for the Hollidays.
When I was a little girl, the women were in the kitchen cooking the men watching football on tv, us kids running in and out of the house playing.
It's one of my favorite memorys of Grandma Alice.
I love her and I will miss her.
