Alice Sanchez Obituary
Alice was born on August 10, 1942, in Oxnard and had been a lifelong resident and graduated from Oxnard High School in 1960. She worked at the Nabisco packaging plant.
Alice was very caring and much loved by her family and friends; she was a homemaker and an excellent cook and baker. In addition, she was a devoted daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She was the oldest of two and, before her battle with rheumatoid arthritis, assisted at Our Lady of Guadalupe as a lunch lady.
On November 2, 1967, she married Vicente Sanchez (Bobby) of Oxnard. They enjoyed 55 years of marriage. She is survived by her husband, Bobby Sanchez, and her five children: daughters Valerie Martinez and Leticia Sanchez and sons Vincent Sanchez, Robert Sanchez, and Steven Sanchez; son-in-law Isaias Martinez, daughter-in-law Marissa Sanchez; and brother-in-law Raymond Rios. Grandchildren are Andrew, Isaias, Gabriel, Moises, Jason, Anissa, Ariel, and Erin, and two great-grandchildren are Andrea and Evie.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Albert Macias and Lupe Macias, sister Virginia Rios and baby brother Robert Macias all of Oxnard.
The rosary recitation will occur at 6:30 pm on Tuesday, May 16, at Reardon Funeral Home, 511 N A St, Oxnard, and visitation at 4 pm. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 am on Wednesday, May 17, at Santa Clara Catholic Church. Burial will follow at Santa Clara Catholic Cemetery, Oxnard.
