ZWEIG, Alice (nee Bloom). Peacefully in her ninety-sixth year on Friday, March 16, 2007. Beloved wife of the late David. Loving and devoted mother of Hallie Frank (Harry Greenspan) and Matthew Zweig. Cherished grandma of Johanna (Sean), Jeremy (Joanne), and Michael. Great-grandmother of Benjamin, Jillian and Allison Troth. Dear sister and sister-in-law of Alec and Sylvia Bloom, the late Anne Bloom, the late Charlie and the late Ruthie Bloom. Sister-in-law of Miriam and the late Irving Zweig, the late Joseph Zweig. She will be sadly missed by her nieces, nephews, and all who knew her. The family would like to thank her companions Julia and Raquel and the staff of the Maimonides Geriatric Center for their loving care and devotion. Funeral Service from Paperman and Sons, 3888 Jean-Talon West on Tuesday, March 20 at 1:00 p.m. Burial at the Independent Hebrew Sick Benefit Association Cemetery, De la Savane. Shiva at her daughter's residence through Thursday afternoon. Donations in her memory may be made to The Maimonides Geriatric Hospital Foundation, 514-483-2121 local 207.
