Alicia Ann Frey

On September 12, 2025, Alicia lost her courageous battle with cancer. Born March 6, 1962 to the late Robert and June Mathews, Alicia left a lasting impact on everyone fortunate enough to cross paths with her. From her delicious sweet treats she would make for family and friends to her love of excitement and adventure in life. She always knew how to light up a room. Alicia had the biggest most loving heart and shared that with everyone especially her kids, grandkids and great-grandkids. Alicia was proceeded in death by her parents Robert and June Mathews, her brother Walter Whitaker III, and sister Janet Mathews. She is survived by her son Jason Lesh (Chastity), daughter Leah Frey Benefield (Chris), her former husband, John Frey, with whom she shared a lasting friendship, sister Kathleen Swanseger (Dan), grandchildren Kara Wagers (Josh), Tyler Curtis (Cara), Cassandra Harper (Braxton) Lilian Lesh (Koby), Hailey Roberts, and Preston, great-grandchildren Melody, Raven, Brantley, Harper and Braylon. In addition to her immediate family, she is remembered with love by many adoring in-laws, nieces, nephews, and generations of great-nieces and nephews. She will be missed dearly by all of her loved ones. The family will be holding a celebration of life on October 4, 2025 at the Girard American Legion
