Peacefully in hospital on Monday, January 20, 2014 in 91st year. Beloved wife of the late Thomas James Hughes, Loving mother of Richard (Nicole), Suzanne (the late Anicet), Michael (Cheryl), Pierre, James (Christine) and John (Betty). Cherished grandmother of Christine, Lisa, Martin, Marc, Jennifer, Jeffrey, Jason, Matthew, Christopher, Craig, Adam , and great grandmother of 11. Dear sister of Germaine Mulligan (Leonard). Predeceased by her siblings; Rhéal, Aurèle and Irene. Friends may pay respects at the

Dear Hughes family ... just wanted to say hello and send my condolences to you all. Mrs. Hughes was a lovely neighbour when we were growing up. I last saw her at my mom -- Mary Nadon -- 's wake in 2008. Aline was hanging out with Joan Muzychka (sp?) and I couldn't believe that the two of them ended up living in the same building. It was lovely to see Mrs. Hughes and so kind of her to come and pay her respects. I hope you are all very very well, and that you remember her well. Michelle Nadon (aka mitch)

It saddens me to hear of the passing of tante Aline. Though I have not seen her for many years, I have many memories of a kind , gentle, soft spoken lady who always had a smile and something nice to share with me. My deepest sympathies to all the family and friends she leaves behind.

I didn't know Aline well, but I always enjoyed meeting her at the bus stop in front of our apartment buildings; she was always so friendly and upbeat with good stories to share. I often thought of her after she moved. She was a lovely lady.

Our sincere condolences on the passing of this wonderful mother, wife, sister and aunt and who touched so many of our lives with her gentle and kind spirit.
We enjoyed spending time with her at her 90th birthday celebration last September and will cherish the wonderful memories of all the family gatherings we shared.
She made a difference in this world, and has now gone on to be reunited with family and friends who have gone on before and who she has missed so much.
Her legacy carries on through her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She will truly be missed.
