Alison Trester Obituary
Alison E. Trester, age 28, of Dyer, IN, went home to her Lord and Savior on Tuesday, January 24, 2023. Loving daughter of Scott and Doris (nee Haak) Trester. Dear sister of Scott (Lisa), Jeffrey, David (Marianne), and Michael (Allison) Trester. Devoted aunt of Jonathan, Matthew, Zachary, Joseph, Riley, Madison, Bryce, and Cameron James. Cherished girlfriend of Patrick Lewandowski. Alison loved the Lord. She was passionate about The Right to Life, participating in several Washington D.C. marches, and also PASS. She was an employee of Caregiver Homes. Alison was loved by many and will be dearly missed.
Visitation Friday, January 27, 2023 from 3:00 – 8:00 p.m. at Smits Funeral Home, 2121 Pleasant Springs Lane (Rt.30/Pleasant Springs Ln.) Dyer, IN. Funeral service Saturday, January 28, 2023 at 10:00 a.m. at Oak Glen United Reformed Church, 2244 Indiana Ave. Lansing, IL, with Rev. John Vermeer officiating. Interment Maplewood Cemetery - Crown Point, IN. Alison and I had been friends since the beginning of our high school years. We clicked instantly with our silly humor, our mutual love for God, and many other reasons. I am blessed to have called Alison a close friend of mine. My heart aches at the thought of not hearing her infectious and sparkling laugh but I am thankful God brought us together for so many wonderful memories. Alison has made an everlasting impact on my life as I know she has for others. Thank you to Scott and Doris Trestor for raising such a magnificent woman. Prayers and strength to you all during this difficult time. Alison will live on in our hearts. Memory eternal to our beautiful Angel❤

There are no words to express how devastating it is to lose such a beautiful person. It has been a few years since Alison and I have connected, but I will always cherish the memories we made during high school and college. She was fun, kind, and outgoing. She touched many lives and the world is a little less bright without her here - I will never forget her. My thoughts and prayers to Alison's friends and family during this impossible time.

Alison was like a second daughter during grade school. She was outgoing and always smiling & laughing. She was a great friend to Casey and loved having her over, going camping and many other fond memories. Even though I have not seen her recently it does not surprise me seeing her passion in Jesus, pass & right to life. She will be dearly missed and my thoughts prayers go to Scott, Doris and family. ❤

Alison quickly became one of my best friends after meeting her and Patrick through my husband Charlie. She was an incredible “auntie Alison” and godmother to our daughter Sydney. We love her so incredibly much and we will miss her everyday. It is a true loss to say goodbye to Alison. We are thinking of her family and Patrick during this difficult time.
