ALLAN TRIPLETT  
On October 7, 2010 at his home in Chantilly, Virginia. He is survived by his son, Darren Triplett of Atlanta, Georgia; former wife, Sylvia Carlson of Front Royal, Virginia; his six brothers and sisters, Connie Maneman of Storm Lake, Iowa; Trent Triplett of Dayton, Ohio; Peggy O'Connor of Peoria, Arizona; Wilbur Triplett (Karen) of Storm Lake, Iowa; Ward Triplett of Peoria, Arizona and Steve Triplett (Jane) of Iowa City, Iowa. He was born in Rockwell City, Iowa to Bernard and Pearl Triplett in 1939. He graduated from Saint Columbkille High School in Varina, Iowa and served in the Air Force for four years. Following his service he spent the next 34 years at the American Red Cross in Washington, D.C. In retirement, he spent the final years of his life meeting his friends for coffee every morning, rooting for the Virginia Tech Hokies and bragging about the mundane events of his son's life.The family will receive friends on Monday, October 18 from 1 to 3 p.m. at the Everly Funeral Home, 10565 Main Street, Fairfax, Virginia 22030. A memorial service will be held immediately following the visitation at 3 p.m.

The Triplett´s Family lived up the hill, about 1/2 mile from us north of Fonda.
While visiting his parents & living in the DC area, Allan went out of his way to help plant spring crops in 1966 when my/our Dad was not available. After all these years, Thank You Allan! Wish I could have thanked him before his passing.
