Dawn, our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. I hadn't heard about your loss until too late to make it to the services, but do hope to see you at the reunion. I hope you have many happy memories and I'm sure your have a strong faith to see you through your grief.

We loved Uncle Allen as a family like no other person! He was always kind, well mannered and well dressed! He took pride in everything he did. He loved gardening and all nature, but he especially loved his dogs! He was always willing to share his rose cuttings, give advice on growing things like flowers and trees! He was patient as The Lewis Family arrived late night for various occasions, invading their solitude and routine! We had many fun holidays together, as well as other happy occasions. Our visits to their home will not be the same without him. He was much more like another father to me and grandfather to Meredith and Justin. He always used to tease about various topics with Luther, frequently asking us what restaurant were we going to close down tonight! We will miss his dry humor and frequent chuckles forever! We loved him and will honor his memory. Dana, Luther, Justin, Meredith & Eric Elizondo

I would go to the funeral, however, still in wheelchair for operation on foot. Hope to see you at reunion. You know you are in my thoughts and prayers.

Dawn, I am so sorry I cannot be there to support you at this time of grief. Just know I love you and pray for you. The best thing is that this is a time of healing for Allen and also for you. As Christians we know we will be reunited with our loved ones, so we rejoice in Allen's love of Jesus and in his victory over pain and death. Live every minute to the fullest and praise God for all that you have! Hugs!!
