Mary Jo Pyke

PYKE Mary Jo Pyke, age 71, of Bexley, died July 6, 2006 at Zusman House, Columbus. Born June 18, 1935 in McArthur, she was the daughter of Margaret Abele Reed of Hilliard and the late Joe Reed. She retired after 22 years of service from Children's Hospital in Columbus and was a 1953 graduate of McArthur High School. She is survived by her husband of 50 years, John Pyke; son, John (Kristi) Pyke of Powell; daughter, Margaret (Jason) Persan of Long Island, N.Y.; 4 grandchildren, Jonathan and Christopher Pyke, Gretchan and Jason Persan Jr.; brothers, Paul (Alma) Reed of Houston, Tex. and Gaylord (Carol) Reed of Hilliard. Graveside service will be held 1:30 p.m. Sunday, July 9, 2006 at Elk Cemetery, McArthur with Rev. Orville Cruea officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Zusman Community Hospice, 1151 College Ave., Columbus, Oh. 43209-2897. Arrangements by GARRETT FUNERAL HOME, McArthur.
