I well remember Rev. Scott. I sat in Bay View Lodge with him on quite a few Saturday nights. One night he gave a wonderful talk about forgiveness. His wisdom and humor I will always remember. His stories were always relevant.

Now that he has gone on to that Undiscovered Country, from whose borne no traveler returns, he truly deserves to hear the words:

"Well Done, Good and Faithful Servant, Now Enter Into The Kingdom Of The Lord."

Condolences to the Scott family. You were truly fortunate to have this wonderful man in your midst.

Reverend Scott taught me that God is absolutely good, that you are loved, and that God would not start what he could not finish. He made a big impact on my life, and I will miss him.

We are so very sorry for your loss. We are so very fortunate to have known him. Lucy and Ellen lovingly referred to him as little Rev Scott so as to distinguish between which Rev Scott they were talking about. His smile, warm handshakes, and stories will be missed. May he Rest In Peace as he is reunited with those that have gone before him.

I was 4 years old when my parents brought me to my first wedding at the church. It was the wedding of Allen and Mary Scott. Over the years, (I'm 70 now!) I would hear the stories of Flanders from Allen and my Dad who was his boyhood friend. When my husband passed away 15 years ago, he would call me weekly with short sweet words of wisdom and reassurance. He wrote me a lovely letter explaining what he believed in his heart happens to us when we go to the next world. He always said that everything is going to be all right. So Rev. I bid you farewell with a heavy heart knowing that you are in the presence of our loving God and everything is all right.

Allen Scott was a kind and gentle man who cared for all even when he was in Crescent Point at Niantic where I met him. I came to know him in September 2017 while he and my wife resided there. I am grateful for his conversations and wonderful smile. He will be missed by many. Into God's hands we commend his soul.

To the Scott Family,

We are so sorry for your loss. Your dad was a great man and will never be forgotten. I enjoyed going to Crescent Point with Nancy Waido and talking to him. He would always tell us all about Flanders.

Allen's genuine goodness & decency provided the entire community with nourishment & hope. His positive approach to life was inspiration to all those who knew him. We will remember him for the role model that he was & for our numerous, personal interactions with him. One always felt better for having talked with Allen & he generously shared his time. His sermons were filled with wisdom & his happy smile reminded us of another hero ~ Roy Rodgers. To this day, I am unable to pass a strawberry field without hearing Allen's whistle. Even that gave us HOPE! He was a spiritual father to many of us & our loss is great. However, he is so deserving of Heaven & knowing he is now there can provide us with joy & peace. His wonderful family will carry on his legacy & we will think of them just as we think of Allen & Mary.

Allen's goodness & decency served him well all of his life & acted as nourishment for the entire community. He was a role model in many ways & his genuine love & affection for people & life provided us all with inspiration. He filled us up with positivism & hope ~ things we need desperately in a rapidly changing world. His smiling face reminded us of another hero ~ Roy Rodgers, & I am unable to pass a strawberry field without hearing Allen's cheerful whistle. I viewed him as a spiritual father & am so grateful to have had him on earth for as long as we did. His sermons were so full of wisdom & the comfort he provided was both endless & generous. The fact that he has passed leaves me saddened, but the knowledge that he is now in the presence of God can only bring us joy. My love & thoughts are with the family now.

Rev. Scott was one of the most wonderful men I have ever met. I never heard him say anything unkind about anyone. He had a special gift of remembering everyone's name once he met that person. Whenever I sent him a card he would send back a one page letter reminiscing about an event. He was loved by so many and will be dearly missed.
