Alma was so BEAUTIFUL inside and out. Lovely beyond words! She was always inspiring, always encouraging, sweet and gentle. She was a devoted mother, wife, nurse and friend to all who knew her. She radiated the love of Jesus, her Lord, to all whom she came in contact with. Our families have many wonderful, precious memories. I am so thankful we shared those lovely Fall days last year. With my deepest sympathy, prayers and love to you all,

I met Alma only a few times, she was the mother of my former Pastor's wife. A sweet, sweet lady and I feel blessed that I had the opportunity to know her even for a short time. Prayers to all in her family.

My mom was such a wonderful mother, mentor, counselor, teacher, comforter and spiritual guide. I am forever grateful to her. I am so glad she was a Christian and lived her life to glorify God and to reach out and touch the lives of others and to help them to know God as well! She is still with us, although absent from the earth now. I am so glad she has a heavenly home and is leaning on the everlasting arms of Jesus!!! She is safe and secure!!!

Alma was my very best friend. She lived across the street from me. She would call and say, "Are you ready for a break?" So I would go over and we would have tea and "bear one another's burdens". Often Lee would be gone but he would show up and say that everytime he left and came back we were having a party without him. Alma told me that when she went to Bible college, she was older than the other girls because she already had her nursing degree. There was this handsome man on campus that all the girls liked. She couldn't believe he picked her out of all of the others. He was so handsome! She always told how he drove so well and she felt safe riding with him over all the miles that they traveled. She talked about her adventures while nursing and over seas. I remember her sayin, "Oh, Lee", when he would make a remark. My grandchildren loved her dearly. She would walk around the block with me or with us. If we started out, my youngest would say, "Can Elmo go for a walk with us?" He couldn't say Alma. My oldest grandson, Austin, was asked by Lee to take care of his lawn while they were gone and he would pay him. When Lee left, Austin said he didn't want any money he would do it for free. "They gave us food." We were never starving or even close, but this made such an impression on my grandchildren. We love Alma so much. I am sad and lonely, but one thing I can do, make someone happy, and I'll be happy too. Another of Alma's sayings...If you can do just one thing fun each day, it colors all the rest of the day. I'll miss our teas and walks. I miss my best friend.

"We always enjoyed when Alma and Lee would count us in to stop by on one of their trips across the country. I always enjoyed the stories and pictures Alma would share of the adventures she and Lee had in their missionary journeys and about all the many places they had been. Alma was such an energetic and happy person, and always willing to help out in any way. I always will remember how (14 years ago) Alma helped us clean our house and Lee mowed our lawn on the day we were moving out of the house we had rented in DeSoto, just as we were moving to Venus. Another special memory is when Alma and Lee shared their condo with us in Branson on our first and only trip to Branson. We have many good memories of being with them, and we are very thankful they have been part of our family. May God continue to bless Lee and all the family in this time of sorrow. We know there are many, many fantastic memories they have to share with each other and with all those whose lives they have touched. Alma will be greatly missed, but what a legacy she leaves behind!"

Aunt Alma was ALWAYS a welcome guest in our home. We LOVED it when we would call and ask what they were doing for the upcoming holiday - and if they weren't "vacationing" somewhere, or getting with their children - they would come join our family. I loved to sit and listen to her wisdom and love as she shared her stories. I am very thankful to be her niece and our family with definitely miss her. KNOWING she is enjoying her reward makes it "ok". We are praying for Uncle Lee and her precious family. Arla Nichols, Loveland, CO

This sweet lady was married to my childhood minister- Lee - a loving and devoted husband to the end. We send our love and will be praying for all the family. Their lives made and will continue to make a huge impact in the world for Jesus. Alma embodied all that a Chrisitian woman should be. She was a wonderful mother, wife and friend - an example for all of us who knew her. What a legacy! She will live on in our hearts. Praise the Lord - we know right where you are-dear Alma!

Alma was my only sister, and I could never have had a sweeter, kinder sister. She was my inspiration. She was always encouraging everyone, and always kind to others. She made life better for everyone who met her. She loved God and others and had the sweetest personality of anyone I have ever known and she was always there for me. I was so fortunate that she was my sister. We talked often. She always knew I loved her, and I always knew she loved me. Iwill miss her, but I know she is enjoying heaven. I love you sis. Lila

The world was a better place for Alma being in it. Her presence blessed all of those she came in contact with. She was my mom's best friend and sister and the love they shared was always an example of what family is supposed to be about! Alma will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her and by all whose lives were touched by her time in missionary work as well as the time she spent working as a nurse and visiting the sick and elderly.Heaven has a new angel.
