Alma Steele Obituary
Funeral services will be 1 PM Central Time Friday, January 27th at Perry Funeral Home Chapel with Paul Vincent, Clint Summerville and Jerry Hanson officiating, burial will follow in Providence Cemetery (Highway 411). The family will receive friends from 11 AM until 1 PM Central Time Friday at the funeral home.
Pallbearers include JR Higginbotham, Justin Irvin, Trey Steele, Chad Steele, Chase Irvin and Zach Steele. Honorary Pallbearers will be Travis Steele and Preston McGatha.
Survivors include son, William Otis Jr. (Felisa) Steele; daughters, Judy Ann Vines, Brenda Gayle Hines, Donna Lynne (Jerry) Hanson and Gina Renee Dobbs; sister, Faye (Robert Dale) Abernathy; sister-in-law, Ann Hulsey; many grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; many great-great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, William Otis Steele Sr.; daughter, Peggy Sue Sisson; brothers, Paul Matthews, Garvin Matthews and Hoover Matthews; sisters, Mary Abernathy and Francis Gossett.
Mrs. Steele was a native of Cherokee County, Alabama and the daughter of the late James and Alma Matthews and a member of Grace Fellowship Baptist Church in Cave Spring, Ga.
