Alonso P. Lujan

Alonso P. Lujan, age 57 passed away peacefully on May 10, 2023 in his home in Hood, California.

Alonso was born on June 26, 1965 to Esther and Liberato Lujan in Sacramento. After Alonso graduated from Delta High School he attended Sacramento City College and went on to work most notably with the Sisters of Mercy, Sacramento and Sacramento Housing and Redevelopment Agency.

On December 15, 1994, Alonso became a proud Father to his beloved son Trevor Lujan. Alonso enjoyed spending time with his son, family, friends and driving down the river road in his fancy truck, corvette or hotrod. He was so proud of his son Trevor for all his accomplishments and prided himself in being a Father.

His life was a blessing and he touched so many of our hearts in different ways. He was the type of man who would do for others and give the shirt off of his back for those he cared about and in need. Alonso lived a life beyond words and will be missed beyond measure. His memory will be a treasure to us all.

Alonso was a beloved father, son, brother, uncle, cousin, and friend. Alonso is preceded in death by his father Liberato Alonzo Lujan and survived by his son Trevor, mother Esther Lujan, sisters Janette (Gustavo) Casillas and Lisa Lujan Rowell, niece Estrella Lujan, nephews Forrest Rowell Jr., Eduardo Lujan, Austin Rowell, Javier Lujan and many other Aunts, Uncles, cousins and friends.

Services will be held at River Cities Funeral Chapel, 910 Soule Street, West Sacramento on May 23, 2023 with viewing and rosary 12:00pm - 5:00pm and mass the following morning at St. Joseph Catholic Church 32890 S. River Road, Clarksburg at 10:00am. Following the mass, Alonso will be laid to rest at Franklin Cemetery, 10468 Franklin Blvd., Elk Grove and a Celebration of Life at the Courtland Fire Department, 1125 Hood Franklin Road, Hood, CA.
