Fr. Al will always be remembered by our family a very kind & warm hearted soul. He baptized our son at St. Charles. Fr. Al always appreciated the efforts our son made as an altar server. Fr. Al will truly be missed.

I just heard of your passing Fr. Al. You were such a lovely and pious man and now you are at peace, floating in a canoe on your favourite lake at Jasper reading your bible. Enjoyed serving as an acolyte at furnerals with you my friend and I am so sorry I was not in St. Albert for yours.

Father Al was a phenomenal priest. I loved listening to his sermons over the last 20 years. He was gentle, kind, and full of compassion. His sermons always had a story, or a good joke that drew you in. I will miss him and his presence at St. Charles.
The peace of Christ with you Father Al!!

Father Al was a wonder man. WE loved to listen to his sermons and enjoyed his company. His stage presence in Mission Hill presentations was loaded with fun! RIP, Dan and Linda Huot

Father Al was not only a great person but a great friend. I enjoyed serving as an alter boy when I was young with Father Al and enjoyed eating a hamburger with him at the Burger Bar in Athabasca when he drove me and my brother to Calling Lake one summer as my mother was already at the cabin with my sisters and my mom did not drive. He knew we had to "go skiing", as that is all I talked about back then.

I will always remember 'Father Al' as a kind man - with a smile to match. He gave me the sacrament of First Communion, Confession, and later with Marriage, and then with the Baptism of our three children.
As kid in Catholic school, he was always quick with a re-assuring glance when he knew I was wondering what "this religion thing" was all about. I will forever thank him for understanding contemplation.
We sometimes joked that he was our 'Friar Tuck'. And he will live on in countless family photos and tales. As we considered him one of ours too.
Our regards to all his family.
RIP, Father Al.
