So sorry to learn of Al's passing... Like everything about Al, quiet and modest and always did the finest work in everything he took on. He was a great mentor to many SCORE clients and a great SCORE-friend to all the leaders that followed him. He was the most private of SCORE friends and never discussed his prior life, so many notable accomplishments and his distinguishable background- a truly great loss for those who knew him and appreciated his friendship- SCORE New Hampshire

When I joined SCORE in 002, Al was an admired, respected, effective and collegial leader of the chapter. It was a pleasure to work with him and, later, to join with him and a few others in an occasional old-boys lunch. We'll miss him. Our condolences to you. Dick Kuhl. Merrimack Valley SCORE.

We go back with Al and Nancy from the Milford bowling group. The bowling, golf, and the later trips to Maine when the group came to visit will be happily remembered. A true gentlemen and friend.

Growing up Alvan was always someone I admired and loved greatly. He was always a part of happy family gatherings, and I have many happy memories of him!
