Alvin "Buck" Brim, age 89, of Martinsville, went to be with his Lord on Wednesday, February 25, 2015. He was born October 8, 1925 to Harry Dillard Brim and Sarah Jane Brim, who both preceded him in death.

Mr. Brim was of the Christian faith. He was a loving and devoted husband, father and grandfather. He served in the United States Army during World War II and was retired from Blue Ridge Transfer with 40 years of service.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 63 years: Margie Aaron Brim; sisters: Ginny Prillaman, Katherine Mullins, Hazel Kelly, and Annie Brim; and a brother: Harry "Fuzzy" Brim, Sr.

He is survived by six daughters: Deborah Pruitt and her husband, Phil of Stoneville, NC, Kathy Prillaman and her husband, Larry of Figsboro, Donna Scott and her husband, Robert of Figsboro, Phyllis Brim of Martinsville, Lisa Biggs and her husband, Dannie of Collinsville and Stacy Harris and her husband, Mandel of Ridgeway, VA; one son: Alvin Brim, Jr. of Martinsville; four sisters: Elsie Brim of Martinsville, Hester Head of Collinsville, Irene Fulcher of Bassett and Jean Lawson of Martinsville; special sisters-in-law: Marie Alderman of Martinsville and Jo Ann Winston of Bedford; brother in law: Lester Aaron of Bassett; 13 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren

The family will received friends from 12:30 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 28, 2015 at Stone Memorial Christian Church. The Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. at Stone Memorial Christian Church with Ministers Tim Wood and Lawrence Harris officiating. Burial will follow at Roselawn Burial Park. Military Honors will be provided by The Martinsville and Henry County Honor Guard.

Arrangements are by Collins Funeral Home, Bassett.
