Two things about Mr. Glick have made an impression on me: he helped people he didn´t know, would never meet, or from whom would never receive thanks. Second, the words others use to describe him (humble, gentle, silently strong, etc) are truly the qualities of legends, so far above what we see today from many leaders. He set an example for me and others to follow, and I lived a better life in Jackson because of him. Well Done, Good and Faithful Servant.

What a great legacy Al leaves behind. I also was one of the fortunate ones to spend 34 years with Alro and learned many valuable lessons from Al. Al would never pass by without stopping to talk (even though I was a Spartan!). I´ll say it for you Chief....GO BLUE

So sorry for your loss of a true giant in Jackson business community and U of M sports! I remember many pregame picnics with Al and his family just before the Wolverines won another big game! He was always so kind and humble and great to be around! He was very close to my Dad JC Perry and often provided us tickets for Bowl games or final four Basketball games. One of my fondest memories was at the year end Senior banquet for graduates leaving Ann Arbor and the Wolverines. A film of the highlights of their career was shown and then they had a few minutes to speak. It was so moving, that night 9 players got up and the first thing out of their mouth was "Thank you Mr. Glick for my scholarship to go to Michigan"! Many also said I never would have been able to play for Michigan, get this great education and amazing experience to be a Wolverine! There were tears in the audience that night that understood the amazing big heart and generosity of Al Glick and his Family, that made this all possible! God bless you all for this huge loss to us all and Go Blue, beat OSU!

Thoughts & Prayers to Randy and the entire Glick family. Al was just an incredible man possessing enormous generosity. He had a nurturing persona and everything he said and did was a lesson, both in business and in life. Everyone that had the good fortune of working with & knowing Al was better for all that he gave....I was one of the fortunate ones. Al and his Brother Bob were simply hard-working men that knew the value of what "unyielding customer service" meant. He was an awe inspiring man and will be missed...but not forgotten...Go Blue! The Chief had, beyond a doubt, the greatest impact on my life of anyone else. He was my little league baseball coach and he was the best. He loved us and he wanted us to be great. Later, I started working at Alro Steel when he encouraged me to be more than I thought I could be. I didn't know this at the time, but he did. He placed a tremendous value on honesty, integrity, hard work and excellence. I could never measure up, but he made me so much more that I would have been. What Al has meant to my family and me is beyond measure. Thank you to the Glick family for sharing The Chief with us. Love you, Al. Thanks.

Sending deepest sympathies in the passing of Al. My first memory of him is my most fondest. In my first few weeks on the job at Alro I was sent to Alro Jackson for orientation. During my time there I met a lot of key Alro people, Al being one of them. He spent time discussing how Alro started and where it is headed. He also gave me guff about being a Badger fan. He was approachable, compassionate, caring and a true leader. He will be missed dearly.

I was fortunate to know Al. He loved baseball and kids. He attended games for employees kids always seem to enjoy attending the Al Glick Baseball/Softball Classic. He was very generous with invitation to events he held. Al can not be replaced, but his kindness should be a model for us all.
