Alvina Joyce Butler Obituary
Joyce is lovingly remembered by her three children and their spouses: Bill Butler, Monica Swain (Tony), and Norman Butler (Diana). She also leaves behind her cherished grandchildren-Whitney Swain, Bernadette Swain-Nestor (Christopher), and Justin Butler-as well as two great-grandchildren. Her sister Jacqueline Jennings and numerous nieces and nephews also survive her.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her beloved sister Carolyn "Peaches" Bakes.
Joyce had a lifelong passion for sports, especially football and baseball. She was an enthusiastic fan of the Eagles and cheered on the Dodgers with great devotion. Gardening brought her peace, and she never passed up the comfort of a good cup of coffee.
Affectionately known as "Mimi," Joyce was admired for her wit, unwavering faith, and enduring love for those around her. Her resilience and spirited nature left a lasting impression on all who had the privilege of knowing her.
May her memory bring comfort to those who knew and loved her.
