Amanda Bussard Obituary
On Sat., Oct. 10, 2009, age 24, of Camden, NC. Amanda was born Dec. 26, 1984. She is the daughter of Tyler and Robin (McKerahan) Bussard. Amanda is survived by two sisters Leanna and Shelby, one brother Tyler, maternal grandparents Pat and Don McKerahan of Pgh., paternal grandfather Ronald L. Bussard Sr. of Pgh. and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. She was preceded by her paternal grandmother Lora Mae Bussard, also of Pgh. Friends received Fri. 11am-2pm and 4-8pm at the ORION C. PINKERTON FUNERAL HOME, 1014 California Ave., Avalon. Service Sat. at 10am in the funeral home followed by burial in Union Dale Cemetery. Amanda always expressed herself through her artistic talents and aspired to be a fashion designer. She would have been great. We love her, she is our angel.

To the Bussard family, I am sorry for your loss. I did not know Amanda, but have seen her resting place at Uniondale Cemetery. I pass it while visiting my parents who are also buried here. I have no doubt that she was a beautiful, and endearing young woman, who touched so many peoples lives. It is sad that she had not experienced the life that we know of. But, the time she has had on earth with us, is meaningful to her in heaven. She knows love, and God is with her now. I hope that you find comfort in knowing she is in a beautiful kingdom, and you will be with her again one day.

And to all of those that love Amanda and know that special, sweet girl, who also made everyone around her feel special.
And to Pappap and Grandma, Amanda always told you “don’t worry Grandma, I’ll be okay”. Now we know she is in a safe place, away from any harm.
Today marks one month (which feels like eternity) from the day that all of our lives changed beyond what we could imagine. Feelings we didn’t know we could ever experience were poured into our lives like a gigantic tidal wave whipping us around in a torment of emotion. Our daughter, our sister, our niece, our friend was taken from our lives on this earth and we all miss her dearly. My heart goes out to everyone, as I know what it is to love her so….. and miss her being here with us.
We will always remember that sweet smile that always made us smile right back… and that unforgettable contagious laugh. She will live in our hearts, our lives, and our memories forever.
I know that in all her sweetness, she wants us to know how much she loves us…, and THAT LOVE being with us will get us day to day until we see her again in Heaven.

To my dearest family, some things I'd like to say...
but first of all, to let you know, that I arrived okay.
I'm writing this from heaven. Here I dwell with God above.
Here, there's no more tears of sadness; here is just eternal love.
Please do not be unhappy just because I'm out of sight.
Remember that I'm with you every morning, noon and night.
That day I had to leave you when my life on earth was through,
God picked me up and hugged me and He said, "I welcome you."
It's good to have you back again; you were missed while you were gone.
As for your dearest family, they'll be here later on.
I need you here badly; you're part of my plan.
There's so much that we have to do, to help our mortal man.
God gave me a list of things, that he wished for me to do.
And foremost on the list, was to watch and care for you.
And when you lie in bed at night, the day's chores put to flight.

When you think of my life on earth, and all those loving years
because you are only human, they are bound to bring you tears.
But do not be afraid to cry; it does relieve the pain.
Remember there would be no flowers, unless there was some rain.
I wish that I could tell you all that God has planned.
But if I were to tell you, you wouldn't understand.
But one thing is for certain, though my life on earth is o'er.
I'm closer to you now, than I ever was before.
There are many rocky roads ahead of you and many hills to climb;
but together we can do it by taking one day at a time.
It was always my philosophy and I'd like it for you too...
that as you give unto the world, the world will give to you.
If you can help somebody who's in sorrow and pain,
then you can say to God at night......"My day was not in vain."
And now I am contented....that my life has been worthwhile,
knowing as I passed along the way, I made somebody smile.
So if you meet somebody who is sad and feeling low,
just lend a hand to pick him up, as on your way you go.

Hey Tyler and Robin,
Just wanted to again say sorry for your loss and I pray you guys and all your family are all ok. I didn’t know Amanda all that well but after the funeral with all the pictures and video, then Mike and I talking a lot that night, she was an amazing girl and definitely tell she was Loved. Take care!

Amanda was the type of person that no one could forget even if they only met her once. I used to wish I had even a little bit of her personality and talent. She was an amazing artist and a very caring friend. She will be missed,and I am very sorry for the families loss. I could not imagine what your going through. No matter where Amanda is I believe she is still happy, she always could find a way to be her happy self in any situation. Just knowing her I believe that she changed my life. Again I am very sorry for your loss and everyones loss who ever had the pleasure of knowing Amanda.

Our sweet daughter Amanda suddenly passed away on October 10, 2009. She would have been 25 years old on December 26th. Our hearts are broken that such a wonderful part of our family is not here with us. She completed our family and now there is a hole in each of our hearts. We will miss her giggle and her silly personality. She was so fun to be around and everybody that knew her loved her. Amanda, we love you and miss you, you will always be our Angel. Amanda was one of the best people i ever got to know.She came along right before my wife Shari and I started dating.We got to spend time with her as a small child and got to see her grow and develop into a beautiful young lady with a great personality and sense of humor.She was the first person to call me "Uncle Mike"and every time I hear those words,I hear her voice.She was a great cousin and niece to my family and gave my kids someone to look up to from their own generation.I can see her influence in my own children,Logan picked up on her witty sense of humor and she inspired Linzie to pursue her own art work.Every person who ever spent time with Amanda is a better person for having done so.She was one of those great people who made an impression on every person she met and she will be missed more than any words can describe.
