Sept. 11, 1976, Oct. 28, 2008, Dec. 29, 2014 - July 18, 2015
Dr. Amanda Crews, 38, and her daughters Elizabeth Ripley, 6 and Rachael Martinez, 6 months, all tragically passed away together on Saturday, July 18, 2015 at their home. Amanda is preceded in death by her loving son, Christopher Ripley, whom was 2 years old when he passed away last October. She leaves behind her loving mother, Paulette Beidleman, step-father Ron Beidleman, father Howard Crews and step-mother Deborah Crews. She will also be sorely missed by her twin sister Kim Crews, brother-in-law Robert Jones, brother Chris Crews, several step-sisters, beloved friend Sasha Bluvshteyn and many close friends, colleagues and patients.
Elizabeth Ripley is preceded in death by her little brother Christopher Ripley. She will be missed so much by her father Tim Ripley, sister Lauren Ripley, brother Dylan Ripley, Auntie Kim and her very best friend Teddy Walker.
Rachael Martinez will be dearly missed by her honorary sister Lauren Ripley, Auntie Kim along with many other family members. She passed away with her grandmother, Anna Brown-Romero, whom was sadly another victim in this tragedy.
Amanda loved spending time with her children. She would read to her girls, take them on walks, play with them at the park, and truly appreciated the time she spent with them. She was a well respected doctor in Modesto, and will truly be missed. Her oldest daughter, Elizabeth loved when her mother would take her swimming. Little Elizabeth had quite the artistic background. She was a creative little soul and she absolutely loved to draw and create her own art. One thing she didn't enjoy was her dance classes. To be quite honest, she hated her ballet classes! She was such a wonderful and brilliant little girl and will be missed so much. Amanda's youngest, Rachael, was only a baby, but had quite the personality. She loved playing with her board books, bouncing in her chair, but most of all she loved to talk to her big sister Elizabeth and herself in the mirror. She was a loving little spirit and will be missed by so many.

A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, August 1, 2015 at 11:00 A.M. at The Gallo Center for the Arts, 1000 I St, Modesto, CA 95354. Amanda was mine and my husband's doctor for eight years. We came to love her. She was always there when you needed her and answered all questions no matter how small. She was so proud of her children and always sharing stories. We will miss her so much, it is still so hard to believe she is gone. Our prayers go out to her family. Goodbye Amanda.

Dr. Crews was a awesome doctor. I new the moment I meet her that she was the right doctor for me. She was patient and kind and never rushed with her visit. When you asked her about her family she would smile and her face glowed. I will keep her family and friends in my prayers. For what's great loss you are all going through. It was my pleasure to meet Amanda & Elizabeth while Elizabeth was "hating" dance. I know by reading the words written that Amanda had great impact on those she knew. She was a fun woman to be around and I enjoyed knowing her. I thoroughly enjoyed my time with Elizabeth and will miss that sweet face. Amanda Crews, was an outstanding and caring doctor. She was more than a doctor to me and my daughter, she was more like a friend. I had the pleasure of knowing her for five years, while I was residing in Denair.
When she was pregnant with her daughter, Elizabeth, she let me feel her kicking.... Then, she showed me pictures or her on her cellphone of her, just a newborn.
Amanda helped me so much in my health, and was always so nice and friendly. She would say, "How are you doing today"? And we would sit, and talk about things, life, and I loved cracking jokes to make her laugh.
I was looking forwards to continuing as her patient when I returned to the area. I will miss her so very much.
Now, she will be with the Angels, still looking after us all.
See you again, Amanda. It's not a goodbye.

Amanda was my student at Gloucester High in Gloucester, VA. I admired then how motivated and focused she was. She was mature beyond her years. Her composure, dedication, caring attitude to others, and friendly manner made my teaching days with her a teacher's dream. I will never forget Mandy and all she accomplished in her short life. Our world is greatly diminished by the loss of Dr. Amanda Crews and her childrenmy deepest sympathy to Kim and Chris, whom I also remember with great affection at Gloucester High, and to all the family.
