Amanda Mitchell Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Dec. 15, 2018.
Amanda Jean Mitchell recently of Bellingham, Washington, daughter of Michael and Karla Mitchell passed on Saturday, November 17th, 2018 as a result of a tragic traffic accident in Blaine, Washington. Amanda graduated from Jordan High School in Sandy Utah in 2005 and attended University of Utah Extension courses towards a career working with the deaf. Amanda consistently demonstrated strong dedication, starting as a gymnast getting up earlier than her team mates to work out with coaches and striving to overcome obstacles resulting from her injuries. Amanda's generous heart and ceaseless desire to improve human existence was shown by her unconditional love of animals and children. Additionally, Amanda had started writing a book that chronicled the daily challenges she faced in hopes of helping others. Amanda is survived by her mother Karla (Mitchell) and father Michael (Mitchell), grandfather David (Goodman), and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. Amanda was preceded in death by her brother Jeffrey (Mitchell) earlier this year. Friends are invited to participate in a Celebration of Life for Amanda on Sunday, December 16th, 2018 at the Majestic Ballroom in Bellingham, Washington from 5:30PM to 7:00PM. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Brain Injury Alliance of Washington to honor Amanda's desire to help others who suffer from the daily hardships and challenges of this condition. Amanda's beauty, generosity, strength and hope will be greatly missed.

It was a joy to have a wonderful niece like Amanda. I will remember all her kindness, intelligence, and creativity. Her ability to make friends and comfort people was truly amazing! Her perseverance in the face of immense difficulties will always be an inspiration to myself and others.

Darling girl, you were my dark star...
How to know where you were and are
Watch the sky for a sudden twinkle
Brilliant for a moment, gone in a blink
Brightens all she encounters day and night
Diamonds in a mirror that flickers from sight

...."shall we go, you and I while we can
Through the transitive nightfall of diamonds?"

Love you forever darling girl!

Losing a loved one is never easy, but our loving God promises to give the strength and courage you'll need to endure, and to cope with the pain of your loss. He also promises to hold your hand every step of the way. (Isaiah 40:29, 41:10, 13) May loving memories also sustain your family during this difficult time. Ann Smith

I love you forever and forever Manda Moosers. We've been together since the day you were born and you will be in my heart until the day I die. You were such a wonderful person. You were so strong. I wish I could trade places with you and your brother. You deserved to live your life.
