My sweet Amber,
It´s been a very long 10 years without you.
I think about you everyday and how much I miss you. I wish you could be here to meet your niece. She reminds me of you so much. Her laugh, sparkle in her eye, silliness and big hugs bring me such comfort. I wish you could see Joey as a dad and husband. He has grown so much and takes such good care of his family. I wish you were here for Alyssa. She would love to have a big sister, someone to confide in and just enjoy spending time together. She is doing very well, works hard and has her own place. But, how sweet it would be if you were here. My heart just hurts without you. We love and miss you so much~until we see you again.Mom and Dad and your whole family

In June 1992, a beautiful person came into our lives but had to leave never to be forgotten. Her name was Amber Renee Waters and she was my granddaughter. Amber was such a beautiful young lady with a wonderful sense of humor and a bright outlook with such a bubbly personality. Mary and I were in disbelief when we first heard about Amber's demise. We couldn't believe it would happen to a granddaughter so young and full of life. We are still in shock and devastated as children and grandchildren are not supposed to go before their parents and grandparents. Now that reality is settling in we are numb and heartbroken.
Amber, we love you and you will never be forgotten. We miss you terribly.

My dearest niece Amber, I cannot put into words how much you are missed. I have always missed you being so far away and now I'm going to miss you forever! We always looked forward to the next time that you would be up for a visit. I'll miss your beautiful smile and funny sense of humor. The way that you would torment your cousin Anthony to no end. Dad and I do not even know where to start. Our hearts are broken in a million pieces. It doesn't seem possible that you are gone. We have watched you grow from a sweet, little baby to such a beautiful young woman. There were so many wonderful things about you.
Your laugh, your sneezes, your beautiful eyes, your long red hair (that I colored every six weeks), your love of big purses, the happiness you felt when I made your favorite meal. Every day I packed your lunch to take to work and you never wanted me to tell you what it was because you wanted to be surprised, the silly jokes that you and dad shared, I loved watching you and dad from the kitchen while you sat together and watched a movie, and then you would fall asleep and dad would almost get pushed of the couch, the sweetness you showed to your sister, Alyssa. She adored you and loved everything about you. It is breaking my heart that she no longer has you as a sister. We loved watching you play the violin and going to all of your concerts, Your fear of taking things out of the oven- we would always have to do it for you, your beautiful photography, your amazing ability to get up in front of thousands of people at a convention and handle the part that was given to you, Your beautiful dedication to our Heavenly Father, Your tender heart and willingness to help others, Your kindness to children, Your love for your family, teaching you how to drive, taking you to Disney and seeing how happy it made you, taking you to buy clothes and you only would buy earrings, shoes and purses, holding your hand before you got your tonsils out because you were so nervous, hugging you when you were sad, hugging you because you had great news, shopping for your first car, making a face at you and you knew exactly what I was thinking, I will miss seeing you at our Christian meetings...I loved singing with you because our voices sounded so much alike and it always made us laugh, I will miss seeing you with your brother...your inside jokes, your laughter, the both of you ganging up on me and picking on me, the two of you going out to lunch together or just hanging out. Joey and you were so close and I know he is hurting right now. I wish I could put every feeling I have on this page but it would never end. We love you so much and are heartbroken. We promise to stay strong and always do what is right so that we will have a chance to see you again in the future. We love you with all of our hearts and know that one day we will see you again. Today Katie took me around and showed me all of Amber's beautiful pictures. Although we only met her at Will and Katie's wedding I felt as though I had known her for a long time.
