Ambrose James "Jim" Konrath, 88 years old of Edwardsburg, passed to his rest Dec. 27, 2022 at Hubbard Hills of Elkhart after an illness. He was born June 17, 1934 in South Haven, MI, the son of Ambrose Julian and Ella Gertrude (Gregory) Konrath. Jim lived in Edwardsburg for many years, graduating from Edwardsburg High School before he entered the US Navy and made a career of the Navy. After more than 20 years of service he returned to Civilian life.

Jim is survived by two brothers, Donald Konrath of Edwardsburg and Robert (Diane) Konrath of Millersburg, IN and many nieces and nephews.

Family who preceded Jim in passing are his parents, his sister Deanna and brothers, Albert Konrath, Michael Konrath and George Konrath.

Family and friends may gather on Tuesday, January 3, 2023 from 12:00 Noon until 1:00 PM at the Paul E. Mayhew Funeral Home, 26863 West Main Street, Edwardsburg, where the Service of Remembrance will begin at 1:00 PM with Rev. Thomas Murphy, officiating. Interment will follow at the Adamsville Cemetery, Edwardsburg, where the United States Navy Honor Guard will play Taps and fold the American Flag, the 221-gun salute will be given by the Edwardsburg American Legion/VFW.

Arrangements are by the Mayhew Funeral Home, Edwardsburg.
