LAWRENCE — Mr. Americo J. "Rico" Petrillo, 94, of Lawrence, beloved husband of the late Edna (Ziady) Petrillo, died Friday, Oct. 31, 2008 in the Lawrence General Hospital.
Born in Lawrence, he was the son of the late John and Ida (DiBurro) Petrillo. He was raised in Methuen, received his education in the Methuen school system and attended the Lowell Technical School.
Mr. Petrillo had been employed by David Shoe Company and was a supervisor at the time of his retirement.
A longtime resident of the City of Lawrence, he was a former member of the Sons of Italy Post 902 and a member of the Bavarian Club for 30 years.
He is survived by his daughter, Patricia Kaminsky and her husband, Arnold of Methuen, his son, Robert Petrillo and his wife, Arlene of Salem, N.H., five grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, three brothers, Thomas Petrillo and his wife, Marguerite of Methuen, William Petrillo and his wife, Marilyn of San Jose, Calif. and Alfred Petrillo of Lawrence, several nieces and nephews.
ARRANGEMENTS: Family and friends may call on Sunday, Nov. 2, 2008 from 3 to 7 p.m. at the Cataudella Funeral Home, 126 Pleasant Valley St., Methuen, MA 01844. A funeral service will be held on Monday, Nov. 3, at 9 a.m. in the funeral home chapel. Burial will follow in the Immaculate Conception Cemetery, Lawrence. Expressions of sympathy may be made in Rico's memory to the Lazarus House, 48 Holly St., Lawrence, MA 01841.
