Amy Alioto Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Jun. 19, 2025.
Amy Ellen Alioto (née Kotas) passed away on June 9, 2025, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, at the age of 64.

Amy was the beloved mother of Nastassia (Jimi) Putz and a devoted grandmother to Ezra Putz and Scarlett Guenther. She was the cherished sister of Kathy (the late Richard) Charles, Joseph Kotas, Mary Jane Kotas, and the late Richard Kotas. Amy was the daughter of the late Mary J. Kotas-John and the late Richard C. Kotas. She was also deeply loved by cousins, nieces, other family members, dogs (Gracie and Tess), and friends.

Amy dedicated her professional life to education as an art teacher with Milwaukee Public Schools. Her creativity and passion for the arts left a lasting impression on students and colleagues alike. As a tenacious single parent, Amy raised her daughter with strength and care, later extending that same devotion to her grandchildren.

A private celebration of life will be held in her honor.

I´ll miss my wife of 8 years. Amy loved Family unconditionally and always stepped up. She loved her students and truly cared. Her genuine concern for our society, world, and a future for our children was her passion. She made me want to be a better person, to do the right thing, and show empathy to others. God has a special place for her, and in our hearts.
