Amy H. Bean

Amy Howland Bean, of Medfield, MA, passed away suddenly on September 13, 2022. Amy was born on September 20, 1976 at Brockton Hospital to Jay and Ingrid Howland. She was a loving mother, daughter, sister and friend. She leaves behind her three wonderful children, Max (17 years), Charlie(15 years) and Brooke(10 years) from her marriage to their father, Jeffrey Bean. Amy loved her children more than anything in this world. They are her greatest source of pride and best gift. Amy lived in Medfield with her children and her dog, Ruby. She was a devoted mother and a kind soul. Amy is the second daughter of Jay and Ingrid Howland of Westwood. They will forever love and miss her. Her parents' endless love, support, compassion and guidance will continue on to her children. Her parents were a tremendous support system and she loved them dearly. She leaves behind her three siblings and their spouses, Joy and Jeff, Drew and Lanetta, and Jayson and Emily. Her nephew and nieces Kevin, Charlotte, Nina and Ella knew how much she truly cared for them. Amy loved watching her children grow up together with their cousins and admired the incredible bond they share. Their families have many fond memories of growing up in Westwood and spending summers in Pocasset. Her cousins, aunts and uncles will remember all the times together and the laughs they shared. Growing up in Westwood, Amy had many dear and close friends, Erica, Katie, Denise and Megan and Karen. She was so happy having friends like them. Amy graduated from Westwood High School in 1994, a soccer player and softball player and school leader. She went on to the University of Maryland where she earned her degree in Business. She also met lifelong friends at U Maryland, Heidi and Mindy S., Mindy and Desiree. They were always laughing and connected for all these years. Amy started and ran her own successful invitation and card business, The Guest List. She loved being in her office and having coffee in the morning with her brothers and father. Amy loved animals, especially her dear, sweet dog, Ruby. She enjoyed volunteering and visiting Golden Opportunities, a therapy dog training facility in Walpole. She enjoyed traveling to St. John in the Virgin Islands and sharing her love of the island with her children. Spending time in nature in Woodstock, Vermont gave her peace and happiness. She really loved watching the sunset with her son, Max, over Buzzards Bay in Pocasset. Amy will be missed by her many friends and her Medfield community. Her loss is stunning and heartbreaking.
