Amy Duchac Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Sep. 10, 2025.
On the morning of Tuesday, September 9, 2025, Amy Beth Duchac (Gerasch) was called to Heaven. She was 60 years young. In the days before her passing, she was surrounded by her large family and many friends but in her final moments, it was just her and her loving husband of 39 years, Perry.

Amy was a devoted, selfless and loving wife, daughter, sister, aunt, and friend. Amy was preceded in death by her mother and father, Ethel and Gerald Gerasch and her mother in law and father in law, Clarence and Dorothy Duchac.

Many thanks to the nurses, doctors, and staff at the Ascension Reiman Cancer Center for the years of care, support, and love given.

In lieu of flowers, Amy requested memorials to be sent to: Ascension Reiman Cancer Center (Franklin location), Valley of the Kings Sanctuary and Retreat, St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, or the Oak Creek Community Center. A Celebration of Life will be held on September 18, 2025.

Visitation 04:00 PM - 06:00 PM , Service at 6pm. Gathering to follow at Oak Creek Community Center 8580 S Howell Avenue

Debbie has great memories of Amy's charity golf outings. She was always full of energy and kindness as witnessed by her many friends and family. We admired her and her wonderful marriage. We are sure heaven will be the place she will continue to spread her love and energy.

Perry, Tina and entire family, you know Amy is cherished and will be missed by many. Her will, strength and faith was admired. Such a fun and loving person who would do anything for anyone with grace and perseverance. I remember her with tears in my eyes, but a smile on my face. I am blessed to have known Amy!

Amy seemed to always know when you needed a hug, a kind word or to just tell you suck it up, buttercup! Her kindness and love and support for me and my family was unwavering. You´ll always be in my thoughts and prayers along with your family and you´ll be up there being a guiding support angel for whatever they need you to do because that´s who you are. Love you Amy and God bless your family.

Amy was such a blessing on this earth. She will be greatly missed. Such a positive and vibrant soul. Kim and I have so many fond memories with Amy from Jamaica vacations to Arizona, California, and Wisconsin family visits. Our thoughts and prayers are with Perry and the rest of the hurting family.

I share flowers from Arizona where I first and last met Amy. I share the Superstition Mountain that she and we woke up to, revered and were in awe of. Together. While Amy is moved on, like her spirit, the mountains and the flowers remain in her and our memory.

Amy was the most dedicated person to her family and friends that we have ever met. She was always there for anyone who needed help, support, food, hugs and always a listening ear. She will be missed by many that had the privilege of having her in their lives. So many memories and laughter that will live on through all her family and friends. Amy, you are loved and will be missed by so many of us.

Sending Prayers and hugs to you Perry and family. She was the strongest most passionate person I ever met. Many good times at St. Mary's and high school. Lots of trouble that we got into. Rest in Peace and without pain. May God wrap his arms around your family and friends.
