Amy Jensen Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Oct. 23, 2009.
IN LIEU OF FLOWERS AMYS FAMILY PREFERS MEMORIALS. THERE WILL BE A GATHERING TIME FOR RELATIVES AND FRIENDS IMMEDIATELY FOLLOWING THE MEMORIAL SERVICE IN THE ROOSEVELT GYMNASIUM. Amy Elaine Jensen, the daughter of James Jensen and Terri (Irwin) Hanson, was born August 15, 1990 in Estherville, Iowa. She passed away Friday, October 23, 2009, at her home in Estherville, Iowa, at the age of 19 years. She received her education in the Estherville schools, graduating from Estherville Lincoln Central High School in 2009. In Amy's leisure time she enjoyed cooking, outdoor activities including camping, bonfires, and fishing. Amy was known for her love for life and for God. Inspirational speaking and telling people about God's love was her life's passion. With the time that was given to her, she was able to speak to several schools, youth groups, and radio and T.V. stations. Wherever Amy went the light of God went also. Most important to Amy was spending time with family, friends, and her dog Snipper. She was a member of Crossroads Community Church in Estherville. Amy's had a desire to reach out to youth, with hopes of a future church youth center here in Estherville. Left to cherish Amy's memory are her mom, Terri Hanson and her husband, Jeff of Estherville; her dad, James Jensen of Estherville; and siblings, Adam Erickson and his wife, Linette and their children, Andrew and Brooklyn, Crystal Clabaugh and her husband, Jerad, Jill Gifford and her husband Tyler, Nathan Jensen, special friend, Kyle Solberg; her grandparents; and many Aunts, Uncles, and cousins. Preceding Amy in death were her grandparents, Lydia and John Jensen. INTERMENT East Side Memorial Cemetery Estherville
