I remember Amy as one of the kindest, nicest, most pleasant students I have taught in my 45-year career. She seemed to have a permanent smile and a constant twinkle in her eye.

I was Amy's teacher at Sacramento Country Day School. I remember so well talking to her about whether she should apply to Tulane. A close friend of hers was applying, and Amy worried that she, therefore, shouldn't. I encouraged her to try. Both girls were accepted and attended the school, but Amy's friend transferred after her freshman year whereas Amy stayed on to graduate and, as her obituary mentions, eventually became president of her sorority and an active alumna. It was typical of Amy to be so concerned about upstaging her friend. It was also typical that she threw her whole heart into the school, as she also did for SCDS.

One of my many favorite memories of Amy is that after I had surgery and was feeling up to it, Amy and Trish picked me up from my house and took me out to a nice dinner where we sat outside so I didn´t feel so cooped up. We caught up and shared many laughs. Amy always went above and beyond just being a great manager. She truly cared about the people working for her.

During the beginning of COVID both my husband and I got very ill. During this time Amy sent a traveling nurse to my house to provide care and vitamin shots, for not only me, her employee but for my husband who wasn´t her employee. This was just who Amy was. Very kind, generous and loyal. Thank you Amy for your kindness, your generosity, your laughter and your friendship.
