SUNBURY - Amy G. Kemp, 95, of Sunbury, passed away on Saturday, Jan. 10, 2009, at ManorCare in Sunbury.
She was born June 17, 1913, in RR1 Sunbury, a daughter of the late John and Gertrude (Scott) Miller. She was married to Samuel H. Kemp who preceded her in death on Feb. 7, 1962.
Amy was a 1932 graduate of Sunbury High School.
She was employed for 38 years at the former Champ Hats in Sunbury, retiring in 1975.
She was a member of the Catawissa Avenue United Methodist Church, Sunbury, and the American Legion Post 201 Auxiliary, Sunbury.
Amy played darts for the Goodwill Dart Ball team. She loved making candy and knitting for her family and friends. She enjoyed traveling and trimming poodles for other people, with help from her sister Elsie.
She is survived by two nieces, Carol Conrad and Amy Horne; and three nephews, John Kemp, Robert and Scott Moore.
She was preceded in death by her sister, Elsie Moore, and her brother, Scott Warren.
There will be no viewing, but a time of visitation will be held from 10 to 11 a.m. Wednesday at the David T. Zweier Funeral Home, 157 Chestnut St., Sunbury. A graveside memorial service will be held after the visitation at Northumberland Memorial Park, Stonington, with her pastor, the Rev. Robert Stump officiating.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Amy's memory to Catawissa Avenue United Methodist Church, Sunbury, PA 17801.

I know you are at peace Amy. Thank you for everything you and Elsie did when I moved in with Grandpa. I know you are in a better place and with Elsie you Old Penn State Fan. Fight on State!!
