Amy Simental Obituary
Miss Simental passed away Sunday, Aug. 12, 2018. She was born July 24, 1978, in Tyler to Verlene J. Simental and Shelby Stevens III.
Nicole graduated from Tyler Junior College with an associate degree. She was enrolled at UT Tyler, majoring in business. Nicole served in Military Intelligence in the U.S. Army four years and later served two years in the Army Reserve.
Nicole was preceded in death by her father, Shelby Murray III and her grandparents, Edwin and Erma Shiflet. She is survived by her loving family, including her parents, Mr. Joe and Verlene Simental; sister, Nanette Roberson and husband Scott; brother, Jason Simental and wife Tracie; and sister, Sheri Stevens.
She will be laid to rest, at a later date, with military honors at Central Texas State Veterans Cemetery in Killeen.

Verlene, I don't have the right words to express my emotions upon hearing of Nicole's passing. As a child, she was so adventurous and she made me laugh and was a joy to be around.
As an adult working with her at Home Depot, she was such a pleasure to work with, always very professional and respected by her co-workers. Nicole and I had many wonderful conversations in the break room on a variety of subjects and it was always a joy to get the opportunity to talk to her. Odd that two people could work together for nearly a year before discovering "who the other was."
My sincerest condolences to you, Nanette, Joe and family.
