SOLOMON DR. AMY E. ROSENBLATT SOLOMON Beloved and treasured wife, mother, sister, and daughter, Dr. Amy Elizabeth Rosenblatt Solomon, 38, passed away suddenly and unexpectedly on the afternoon of December 8th at her home in Bethesda. Born in Boston on April 19, 1969, Dr. Solomon was reared in Washington, DC and New York, NY, attending the Sidwell Friends School from 1973-79, and graduating from The Dalton School in 1987. She received her B.A. from Washington University in St. Louis in 1991, and her M.D. from the New York University School of Medicine in 1998. Dr. Solomon did her pediatric residency at the University of Maryland Medical Center, and was a practicing pediatrician in Montgomery County for the last six years, most recently with Drs. Leah Brasch and Linda Goldstein in Chevy Chase. Dr. Solomon is survived by her husband, Dr. Harrison Solomon; her three children, Jessica (6), Samuel (4), and James (1); her parents, Roger and Virginia Rosenblatt; and her brothers Carl and John Rosenblatt. She was a gifted and generous woman who made everyone around her feel fortunate to be in her presence. Visitation on Tuesday, December 11 from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. at JOSEPH GAWLER'S SONS, 5130 Wisconsin Ave. (at Harrison St., NW), Washington, DC, where funeral service will be held on Wednesday at 12 noon. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to NYU School of Medicine, c/o Office of Alumni Relations, 550 First Ave., New York, NY 10016. Memo the check for Amy Rosenblatt Solomon, MD, Class of 1998, Memorial Fund.
