As I write this I am thinking of the wonderful taste of her apple strudel and the warmth I always felt from her generosity and hospitality. I smile when I think of her wry grins, her sense of humour and her happiness when she could yell "Bingo!". "Mrs. D" was my second mother during my early teens and I loved her very much. My condolences and prayers to both of you - Irene and Nick - and of course to your families.

Ana was a wonderful neighbour to me for 40+ years. She was an independent, self reliant, strong minded woman and a great inspiration to me. She baked and gardened and looked after her house and yard diligently well into her 90's. I will miss our sidewalk and back yard visits and my deepest sympathy goes out to Irene, Randy and Alex and your extended family.
