Anastasia Bigney Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Oct. 4, 2005.
Anastasia "Stacy" Rachelle Bigney
Anastasia Rachelle Bigney, our beloved daughter, granddaughter, niece and friend, died of a brain tumor, returning home to her Heavenly Father on September 30, 2005.
Stacy was born on June 16, 2000 in Provo, Utah to Nick and Maren Price Bigney. From the beginning, Stacy had an extraordinary capacity to love and an infectious happiness thataffected all those she came in contact with. Her unconditional love touched hearts and influenced lives in Utah, Montana, New York, and Japan.
Stacy enjoyed learning, playing outdoors, playing the piano, visiting friends and family, and singing. She especially loved her Primary class and singing songs about the gospel of Jesus Christ. We have been privileged to know and be loved by her these last five years, and the grief that we feel now is a small price to pay for the joy she has brought us.
Stacy is survived by her parents, her sister Rebecca, her grandparents Nick and Sue Bigney and Preston and Becky Price, 14 aunts and uncles, and more friends than can be counted.
Funeral services will take place on Thursday, October 6 at 11am, at the Wallsburg LDS Church, 494 West Main Canyon Road, Wallsburg. A viewing will be held on Wednesday from 6:00 Ð 8:00 PM at Olpin-Hoopes Funeral Home, 288 North Main Street, Heber City, and on Thursday from 9:45 to 10:45 AM preceding the service. Interment will follow in the Midway City Cemetery.

You probably don't remember me from the old mountain man rendezvous. So sorry for your loss. We have a granddaughter the same age. They are so special.

Dear Sue and Nick,

I was so sad to read about one of your grandchildren's death: your beautiful Anastasia. Of course I did not know her, but remember both of you well from our days at BYU, and from the very few times we have seen each other since.

I intended to write when I read about Anastasia--recognizing her surname and wondering if she was related to you. But, I was caught up in the events of my own father's death around the same time frame.

My only child and daughter, Meikel, was married in May to her long-time love, Luke Reece, with whom she has been best friends since childhood. They bring energy and love to every space they are in. Luke is a fine, young man and he brings all of us joy.

I am truly sorry for this untimely death of such a beautiful, young one of yours--Anastasia; and, for this to have happened to your young son and his wife.

My condolences and love.

With affection,

Lisa Lambert

Dear Nick, Maren and Rebecca,

We remember Stacy's beautiful and infectious smile the most! She truly had the greatest ability to light up a room just by being in it. Our hearts and our prayers are with you.
