Anastasio R. Zaballa

Anastasio Ramon Zaballa age 85 of West Palm Beach, Florida was called home on March 14, 2013 to join all of the Angels in Heaven. Anastasio was brought into this world on May 2, 1927 in Las Villas, Cuba to his loving parents, Mr. Ramon Zaballa and Mary Zaballa. In 1959 Anastasio moved to the United States of America to begin a new life as a United States Citizen. Upon arrival to the United States, Anastasio began his career working hard and diligently as a Janitor in Jersey City, NJ. In later years he moved to the South Florida area and began a new career working for the Osceola Sugar Mill as a Mechanic from 1961 until 1972. In 1972 he began a new career with the South Florida Water Management District as a Welder and after twenty three years he retired. Anastasio loved to work hard and could outwork a man in his twenties easily. He enjoyed working around his home and in his yard planting fruit trees. Anastasio was always helpful, courteous, polite, giving and caring to his fellowman, and most certainly enjoyed a good laugh, joking around with his family and friends. Fashioning his life as the Psalmist wrote in PSALM 1 "Blessed is the one who does not walk in step with the wicked or stand in the way that sinners take or sit in the company of mockers, but whose delight is in the law of the Lord, and who meditates on his law day and night. That person is like a tree planted by streams of water, which yields its fruit in season and whose leaf does not wither whatever they do prospers. Not so the wicked! They are like chaff that the wind blows away. Therefore the wicked will not stand in the judgment, nor sinners in the assembly of the righteous. For the Lord watches over the way of the righteous, but the way of the wicked leads to destruction." A Celebration of Life Service for Anastasio Ramon Zaballa will be held 10AM, Monday, March 18, 2013 at Mizell-Faville-Zern Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 6411 Parker Avenue, West Palm Beach, FL 33405, (561) 833-4061 with Father Jose Crucet from Holy Name of Jesus Catholic Church the celebrant.
