ANDERSON CHILDERS Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Aug. 6, 2025.
Anderson Chase Childers

August 21, 1986 - July 13, 2025

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Anderson "Chase" Childers on Sunday, July 13, 2025 in a heroic act of bravery, saving a family of five in Pawleys Island, SC. Chase was 38 years old.

He is survived by his devoted wife, childhood sweetheart and soulmate, Nataley Childers of Dallas, GA; his three beloved children-Barrett, Brooks, and Bella-who were the light of his life; his loving mother, Nancy Childers of Acworth, GA; and his brother, Chance Childers of Nashville, TN.

Chase Childers was a man of extraordinary talent, courage, and heart. A former professional baseball player with the Baltimore Orioles, Chase brought passion and determination to everything he pursued. After his time in professional sports, he continued to serve and protect his community as a police officer in Cobb County, where he was honored with a lifetime achievement award for saving multiple lives during his service. He went on to be one of the top inspectors in his company which led him to pursue his dream of building homes for families. His selflessness, quick thinking, and commitment to others defined his life and ultimately his final act.

In addition to his public service, Chase was a skilled fisherman and an exceptional craftsman who could build anything he set his mind to. Whether casting a line or building with his hands, he found peace and purpose in creating and exploring. He was a skilled guitar player and had a passion for music. He loved worshiping the Lord through guitar playing and music.

But beyond all of his accomplishments, Chase's proudest roles were that of Husband, Father, Son, Brother, Friend. He adored his children and was deeply involved in their lives-coaching, guiding, and loving them unconditionally. Taking every opportunity to be present and teach his children about the gift of life. His marriage to Nataley was a love story that began in their teenage years and endured with deep friendship, laughter, and unwavering commitment.

Chase will be remembered not only for his achievements and talents, but for the way he lived-with integrity, faith, strength, and an unshakable love for his family. His final act of courage was a true reflection of the man he was - selfless, brave, and full of heart. His legacy will live on in the lives he touched and the family he loved so fiercely.

A celebration of Chase's life will be held at the Barnsley Resort in Adairsville, Georgia on Sunday, August 10th at 10am.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to a fund being established for the future of his three children. QR CODE provided.

Prayers for you and your family. He was a wonderful father. His legacy will live on with his wonderful kids. I remember Barrett telling me about some of the experiences he had with his dad when I had him in first grade. He was always so excited to share. Continued prayers for a very loving family.

It was a pleasure watching this little boy, live out his best life as a child, untamed and running wide open 24/7. Then he met a special girl named Nataley. He fell madly in love with her. From that day forward he harnessed all his energy into loving her. He cherished Nataley and did everything in his power to be the best husband he could be for her and she did the same for him.

It´s been my privilege to watch their love grow into three beautiful children harnessed with Chase´s passion for life and blessed with Nataley´s grace and beauty.

Their love story is not over, we have just turned the page to a new Chapter.

Chase, you will live in our hearts, minds, and be with us in every step we take along the way. This is not good-by, I´ll see you again. Love you.

Chase was one of our son's BEST childhood friends. He spent a lot of time at our house, and we loved having him over. Chase was by far a better athlete. Just one of the stupid guy games they played, was one of them shooting the other with a paintball gun, while running through the woods. Scotty's chest had lots of quarters sized bruises, while Chase had none. Scotty loved Chase. We did, too. How incredibly brave and selfless he was. We are proud to have known him. We are profoundly heartbroken but marvel at the thought of Chase being reunited with his father, and what he must be experiencing and seeing right now. We are so very, very sorry for your (Nataley), Barrett's, Brook's, Bella's, Nancy's and Chance's irreplaceable loss. Chase has his hands on Scotty's shoulders. Continued prayers.
