I Express my sincere condolences to the family, friends and colleagues of Professor Dabrowski. It is a great loss for the entire University of Ottawa community. Many graduate students were positively influenced by his kindness and humanity. I hope his family can take some comfort in knowing that he will remain in their students' memory as an example to emulate.

Andre, I hope you know how many graduate students were positively influenced by your kindness, humour, and humanity. You were more than a professor to us, you were also our friend ... Dr. Dabrowski was one of my PhD supervisors. I remember him as a man of calm and gentle, placid humour, evincing a steady devotion to work and family. He will remain in my memory as an example to emulate. My sympathies to those whose lives he enlightened.

Andre and I were in the same class at Lisgar Collegiate Institute for four years, graduatuing in 1973.

Even after all these years, I still remember him fondly as a kind person with a terrific sense of humor.

Andre and I were graduate students together in the Department of Mathematics in the late '70s. I was very excited to read about his new appointment as dean, but sadly, I postponed sending him a congratulatory email... I wish to express my sympathies to Andre's family and friends.

On behalf of the Alumni Association of the University of Ottawa, we were deeply saddened to hear of Professor Dabrowski's passing. As recently named Dean of the Science Faculty, we were looking forward to working with him to increase the involvement of and support for our association, by the Science students and graduates. I remember my first course in University of Ottawa called 'Data Mining' was given by you, and you told me how to apply for the graduated program when I was a special student. You were always so nice to your students. We'll miss your smiles!
