DABROWSKI, Andre Robert Ph.D., Dean of the Faculty of Science, University of Ottawa Peacefully, at the age of 51 on Saturday, October 7, 2006 after a short and courageous battle with cancer. Beloved husband of 24 years of Deborah (nee Lupinski). Devoted father of Adam and Leah. Cherished son of Cecilia and the late Leopold. Dear brother of Edward (Yvette), Mark (Sharon) and Christopher. He will be greatly missed by his nieces and nephews Raymond, Antoine, Matthieu, Marie-Claire, Patrick, Laurel, Sean and Joshua, as well as his uncle Kazimir, his cousin Philip (Keri), his brother and sister-in-law Dianne and Chester Lupinski, and many relatives in France and Poland. Andre's career spanned over 20 years at the University of Ottawa, where he was professor of Mathematics and held various administrative positions. He is fondly remembered by his colleagues and students. Above all, he will be most remembered for his devotion to his family. Special thanks to Dr. Yelle, Dr. Morash and the Nurses of 3A and ICU of the Civic Hospital for their care and compassion. Friends may pay respects at Kelly Funeral Home, 2370 St-Joseph Blvd, Orleans Tuesday, October 10, 2006 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral Service will be held at Divine Infant Church, 6658 Bilberry Dr., Orleans Wednesday at 10 a.m. followed by the interment at Beechwood Cemetery.

Andre and I were in the same class at Lisgar Collegiate Institute for four years, graduatuing in 1973.

Even after all these years, I still remember him fondly as a kind person with a terrific sense of humor.
