Andrea Fuquay Obituary
She graduated Reitz High School in 1994 and earned her Bachelor of Science Degree in Education from USI in 1998. She was vice-president of Aching Acres Landscaping and was a driving force in the success of the company. She was a former EJFL cheerleading commissioner, highly involved at West Terrace PTA, Holly Society of America, and Pack 371 Cub Scout Leader. She thoroughly enjoyed her years teaching pre-school at St. James West. She loved vacationing with her family on Little Gasparilla Island, Florida and the Polynesian Resort at Disney World.
Andrea was a devoted wife and mother. Her children were her life as well as her extended Aching Acres family.
She is survived by her husband of 12 years, Dan Fuquay; sons, Logan and Braxton; daughters, Keely and Kimber; parents, Joe and Pat Stratman; sister, Jennifer Fuquay (Aaron) and daughter Kiley; father and mother-in-law, Daniel M. and Janet Fuquay; very special aunt, Kim Carl (Jon); cousin, Morganne Geiser; numerous other loving aunts and uncles.
Services will be 10:00 AM Saturday, June 18, 2011 at Alexander Memorial Park Heritage Chapel, officiated by Rev. Lynn Marino, with burial in Alexander Memorial Park. Friends may visit from 2:00 to 8:00 PM Friday, June 17, 2011 at Alexander West Chapel.

I will take care of the kids and carry on your legacy here.You gave me the courage and strength to do so much in our wonderful lives we had together. I will continue with that help and carry on life here. I am glad that you are at peace now,but my heart is broken. With time we will be ok. But you wait for me at heavens gate because I will never love another you were, are and always be my one and only soulmate. We will be together again when God decides. And I will look forward to seeing you again babe. PS you prepared all of us for this in so many ways. Dear sweet family, You have been so blessed to have had Andrea in your life for the last 35 years. I know I was. She helped me know that it's ok to be different and to love even when I didn't feel loved. Some of my best memories of her were from Tekoppel School. I often smile when I think of Kellie Dunn,Andrea and I working so hard on getting me throuh the 5th grade. I love both of you girls for your friendship and hard work. God bless you Andrea. Danny and Family, I have to say the last few days have touched me..Dan You have such a beautiful family and estate on the lake. Andrea was truly a multi tasker to have juggled all she had on her plate plus battle cancer..I just watched the photo show on Courier and Press.com and know your Children will have many special memories of their mother and all the vacations and times spent together as a Family,That is what makes a picture so unique in that you can always go back and reflect on the GOOD times you all have had..It is all so difficult right now, And although you will never forget,The pain will diminish and be replaced by loving memories of your blessed Wife/Mother of your Children. Hold tight to those memories,Cherish them and wrap yourself up in them. To my dearest family, some things I'd like to say...
but first of all, to let you know, that I arrived okay.
I'm writing this from heaven. Here I dwell with God above.
Here, there's no more tears of sadness; here is just eternal love.

But one thing is for certain, though my life on earth is o'er.
I'm closer to you now, than I ever was before.
There are many rocky roads ahead of you and many hills to climb;
but together we can do it by taking one day at a time.
It was always my philosophy and I'd like it for you too...
that as you give unto the world, the world will give to you.
If you can help somebody who's in sorrow and pain,
then you can say to God at night......"My day was not in vain."
And now I am contented....that my life has been worthwhile,
knowing as I passed along the way, I made somebody smile.
So if you meet somebody who is sad and feeling low,

Our prayers and sorrow goes out to Andrea's family. She was our son's favorite teacher. He is 10 now and still talks about "My preschool teacher, Mrs Fuquay". We even had the privilege of knowing her through our high school years. She was a great person with a very kind heart. She will be greatly missed.

I only had the priviledge to meet Andrea during her battle. What I saw was a wonderful person with an amazing personality and smile. It was more than obvious what a great person she was.
