I vividly recall Andrea´s radiant, expansive smile. She was a student in my SuperSelf Personal Development Class when she was around 18 or 19 years old. Every week, she would gracefully enter the class with a smile that illuminated the entire room. Her presence was simply delightful. Over the years, I´ve been incredibly proud of her remarkable life achievements. It saddens me to learn that she has passed away. I´ve cherished the long and meaningful telephone conversations we shared. I firmly believe that the world has become a better place because of Andrea´s presence, and she will always hold a special place in my heart.

I met Andrea when we were kids growing up in Atwater, Ca., and living in the Castle Gardens, as our fathers were stationed there at Castle Air Force Base. I became good friends with her and Anluska, and we shared some fun childhood memories. She located me on Facebook as adults, which is how we were reacquainted. She is missed by family and friends and we´ll cherish her memory. Love, Lori Westbrooks

I haven't seen Andrea in over a decade, ever since I decided 10 years ago to leave Los Angeles and return to Cleveland, Ohio to be with my brothers, sisters, nieces and nephews. Previous to my move, however, for at least 25 years or more, Andrea and I would get together. Our hook ups woulds always be filled with so much laughter. In the past ten years, Andrea and I kept in touch frequently, sharing deep and meaningful conversations about our lives. While she was exploring new job opportunities, traveling to exotic places, engaging in civic work, and attending exciting events, I would recount my experiences of maintaining an old house, enduring the humid summers and mosquitos and braving the frigid winters. She always knew what to say to uplift me.
Although I never had a chance to attend her Christmas Cookie parties, I remember how much she enjoyed hosting this event, among others, for her cherished friends.
Andrea had a deep love for her family, and as her illness worsened, she especially appreciated the care and support of her sister Anluska and her nephew Ahmond. I am grateful to them for being by her side.

I just saw Andrea a few months prior at the Trader Joe´s at Westfield (Fox Hills) Mall. We had a long talk, in the middle of the store, catching up on life. She had so much going on, work stuff, traveling, her book club. I told her, "girl, I need to hang out with you! The next time you travel somewhere, I want to go!" We just laughed and laughed. We talked about our friends from TNL and about Bill Yarborough´s passing and memorial. Oh my God. I will miss them both. RIH, sweet spirit.

Andrea lived in the Crenshaw Manor neighborhood and she has to pass my house to get to hers. We will often just talk about any thing. The pictures were taken at my home September 2023 where Andrea who lives less than one block from my home took an Uber to my house. Her reason was that she didn´t want to walk in heels. We chuckled and as you can see she had a great time on the dance floor. The girl knows how to have a good time. Andrea your death hurts and you will be missed but your memories will live on. Rest in Power!

Moving into Dorm One at Pepperdine University! She always answered my nieve and down-right stupid questions with love and joy.
I love the memory of us driving down PCH with the roof off singing Patti LaBelle at the top of our lungs.
When I was hired by Los Angeles Unified School District, I could have gone to the Valley or South Central Los Angeles. I told her I was draw to the South Central area. She encouraged me to go there and see how I felt. I loved it and was inspired everyday to be my best.
She would always say "Now Shauna..." and I knew something important was coming.
We laughed and played all of the time. Mostly, she lovingly taught me it was ok to be me. I couldn´t be more grateful for her love, guidance and kindness. Even though she didn´t always agree with me, she knew I was a good soul and I knew she was just plain truth. There is no way I could go wrong with her being my friend.
Thank you Andy!

I first met Andrea at Pepperdine University in Malibu. That first semester they had all the Church of Christ Black girls in the same dorm and it was such a pleasure to meet this sweet sister from Fairfield California. We had a cute little click of girls having their first 'independent' experiences in the world. Some fun nights, days in the dorms, in the cafeteria, late night McD runs & outings of college life. After shopping at the local grocery store, I remember she taught us to mix granola in yogurt.
She once told us of being at the local grocery store (at that time) in Malibu. She was at the seafood counter waiting for her order, and heard a female voice ask 'Do you have female lobsters?' Who knew even to order them? ...turned out to Diana Ross. And that was Malibu.
I later had a job downtown Los Angeles, thought I was grown, was walking down the street one day after work and who did I see? It was reassuring to see her, a few years ahead of me in life, to give me a little info and show me how to do it, working downtown. I remember after work we went to a local restaurant for appetizers, and she rolled her ham & cheese up together. I thought it was so cute & sophisticated. I rolled mine up too.
We have 'bumped' into each other over the years. And at each Church of Christ I 'discovered' outside of my home community, we always seemed to bump into each other there. I literally just saw her at Vermont this past July at church, we texted (it was during service, but don't tell nobody :) ).
From the first time I met her to the last I saw her, she, a class act. A beautiful example of an intelligent, articulate, sweet and kind young Christian woman.
I remember her saying she was from Fairfield, a small town in California. She certainly had some of those small town qualities. I hope I do too.
Beautiful memories Ms Jackson. God Bless her family.
