We continue to miss Andrea for his culinary skills, but most of all, for his wonderful personality that caused us to visit him frequently. After a round of Friday golf, my wife and I would visit the Westheimer restaurant. He would go to our table and ask what we wanted to eat and would go prepare our wonderfully delicious meal. May he rest in peace.

My wife, Anita, and I met Andrea circa 2008 when we visited his restaurant the first time. Although we went as customers, he made us feel like close friends. After going there a second time, we were not given menus because he would come to our table and ask, "What can I make for you today." My wife and I would give him a general idea and he would prepare excellent dishes and spend time at our table as if we were family. We miss him dearly.

Karen and I send our deepest sympathy to the Pintus family. We had eaten at our favorite restaurant just before we left for a cruise the first week in February and were shocked to find it closed when we returned. In addition to the fabulous fare that was offered, we thoroughly enjoyed Andrea and his daughters. We will miss this wonderful experience and deeply regret his passing. We would speak of our respective dogs and Andrea just loved to talk about Henry. I know that he, too, is grieving for his master. Our prayers and thoughts are with all of you and our visit to Andreas will all hold a special place in our memories.

Dear Caroline, Rachel and Alex. Our whole family was deeply sorry to hear our friend had passed. He meant so much to us, especially Ani, whom he treated as one of his daughters', as all of you always have. It's still very difficult to believe what happened. Andrea will truly be remembered by many people for his genorosity, his caring for other people, his jokes, his wit and his humble self. We didn't visit Andrea much, but whenever we were with him, he always made us feel like one of the family. We were truly blessed to have known such a generous and caring man, Andrea touched our lives in so many ways. Our thoughts and prayers are with you. May God keep him in his glory.

It was a very sad evening when my son, Christopher Chi, told me that his favorite person, Andrea, passed on. My heart was deeply torn. Chris talked about Andrea, a good boss and friend, often with admirations and respect. What an influential person you were, Andrea. Thank you for treating my son kindly and generously. It was so comforting and relieved to Chris' faraway family in New Mexico. You are a great man! Andrea. I wish we met so I could have expressed my gratitude and appreciation. Caroline, thank you and your family for enriching my son's life. May God's mercy and grace be with you! I will shake Andrea's hands later in Heaven. Daina and Clint Taylor

Caroline,

We were priviliged to have Andrea as a part of our most special days; birthdays, holidays, graduation celebrations and simple dinners with those we love. May you find comfort in knowing he was loved by many and will be sadly missed. Katherine Walsh and Ron Noska

Andrea will be missed. A Great chef and man.
A few of us have been going to his restaurant since he opened, for lunch every few weeks, enjoying his great food, wine and the conversations we had with him. We felt at home when we were there. We will all miss that.
To Rachel and Alex who have taken good care of us at the restaurant many times in the past, and the rest of the family, my sincerest condolences to you. I hope that time and memories will help lessen the burden of your sorrow, and that you may draw some measure of comfort knowing that others care and share in your loss.

Querida Carola, Hijas y Familia.

Recordandolos Siempre,

Dear Mrs Pintus, Rachel and Alex .

We have been coming to Andrea's restaurant now on most Friday's since we first arrived in Houston over a year ago. We came at first for the best Italian food in Houston but very quickly our visits became a source of fun and friendship with Andrea, Rachel and Alex always making us feel very special. We were shocked on hearing your sad news and want you to know we are thinking of you. Andrea was a kind-hearted man, with a mischievous sense of humour (He was very proud of his prize-winning meatballs) and he obviously cared deeply for his family. We are very sorry for your loss.

I met Andrea when he was chef at Patronella's. Since then my family and I have shared many joyous and memorable occasions dining together at Patronella's and most recently at Andrea's. Andrea treated us like we were part of his family and we came to love him as he was part of ours. For me, it doesn't get much better than a gathering of good family and good friends gathered together breaking bread and tipping a glass of wine or two, especially when the food is excellent. Andrea was there in the middle of that. He will be greatly missed and our hearts go out to all of his family as if we had lost one of our own.

Dear Mrs. Pintus and family,
We were in shock when our friend, Angela Goins informed us of Andrea's death. We had just mentioned the weekend before he died that we wanted to eat at the restaurant for Valentine's Day. Ms. Pintus, your husband made us feel like we were the only persons in the restaurant...he made us feel so special! He treated us like family. You are truly blessed to have fallen in love with such a wonderful man! What a legacy he has left. If there were more people in the world like Andrea Pintus, there would be less turmoil. We will be praying for you and the family. We will ask Padre Pio to whisper into the ear of our Lord, Jesus Christ to help you and your family during this difficult time. God Bless You and your family.

Andrea was such a gift to our family. We have spent many special occassions with him at both Patronella's and Andrea's. No matter how busy, he would always come out of the kitchen, greet us warmly, make us a "special salad" and cook up a storm. He never had to ask what I wanted because he already knew. He would even make special plates for our daughter with food allergies. The memories we have including him are treasured ones. We will miss him so much.

Dear Andrea, he was a darling of a man and a unique individual. My dad and I had the privledge of eating at his restaurant once a month for almost two years. The food was that GREAT! He treated us like family and always prepared dishes with love. My fondest memory of him was in September 2010 when it was my birthday and not only sang me Happy Birthday, but lit a candle on my dessert and placed his FAMOUS dancing rubber birthday cake on the table which played Happy Birthday to make us smile. I will never forget his kindness and generosity of heart. One person can affect so many lives and Andrea did just that. He leaves a void that never can be filled. My heartfelt sympathy and prayers go to his wife and daughters. He was a great man!! You are in our prayers.

We are truly saddened and share in your loss. It has always been a special treat for us to visit Andrea and Rachel at the restaurant, enjoying and sharing the love and passion Chef had for his creations.

We still remember the day when we met Andrea. It was a rainy Saturday and our plans for the day had been cancelled. On our way home we noticed the restaurant for the first time and decided to stop for a quick lunch. We left around 4:00 PM having spent a wonderful afternoon with Andrea talking about food and wine and laughing with him as he told stories of his childhood. Our friendship began on that day and will live forever in our hearts.

We shall miss him terribly.
